Job Description
As Building IoT Solution Engineer, you integrate and onboard Building data into our cloud platform from various data sources like BMS Systems and their cloud connectors.
You will work closely with our customers and partners to onboard buildings on our data platform, as well as supporting integration projects to extend our compatibility with existing BMS systems.
By utilizing our cloud services based on Microsoft Azure IoT, inhouse solutions and your scripting experience, you identify improvements on the technical onboarding process of partners and buildings and express them as technical requirements to enhance our product.
Utilizing your knowledge in Building Automation and management systems and industry protocols (eg. BACnet, OPC-UA and Modbus) you steer our integration projects effectively while satisfying our customers and partners.
In addition, you will actively participate in internal project teams and work closely with our DevOps teams in the company and provide requirements to our internal development team.
Help with analyzing technical requirements and feasibility when approaching customers and partners rounds off your profile.
Qualifications
Education: Completed studies in the field of computer science, information technology, system integration, building automation, business informatics or a comparable qualification/work experience
Experience and Knowledge: Several years of professional experience in using and configuring IoT solutions on top of Cloud ideally on Microsoft Azure and Azure IoT; experience in writing and documenting processes and requirements; as well as some knowledge in one development language such as Java, C#, Python or bashscript; familiar with connecting and designing solutions based on APIs (REST and graphQL)
Qualifications: SFamiliar with Building Automation Systems and protocols like BACnet; professional experience in Cloud IoT Framework (ideally on Azure); capable to understand and work with JSON and REST-API while being familiar with related Tools
Personality and Working Practice: Capacity to steer projects and derive technical requirements; alongside being communicative to express requirements internally and externally
Enthusiasm: Open-minded and willing to learn about our domain, and not afraid of having technical conversations with internal and external stakeholders
Languages: Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
